I am a criminal judge and today I had a hearing. A lawyer entered the room at 12 o'clock to hear his case. He had a bag in his hand and said: “I brought bananas for you and the clerk. I thought it's lunchtime and you must be hungry.”
Me: “You thought, so I'll just give you some bananas?”
Lawyer: “Yes, I have read a study that shows that judges who are hungry impose stricter sentences. Hence.”
