Guasave, Sinaloa.- When applying the breathalyzer operation prior to Easter in Guasave, the operational commander of the Directorate of Sustainable Mobility reported that since March 10 to date no fines or penalties have been reported for that reason, this because the citizenry has been responsible.
Germán Gámez Morales urged the population to respect road regulations in order to avoid accidents both on state highways and in the city.
Answer
He pointed out that people have responded favorably to preventive measures, since most families take advantage of weekends to spend a quiet afternoon on the beach, so they have been cautious.

He stated that until yesterday there had been no accidents since the operation began, both in the city and on the highways to Las Glorias, La Brecha and 100, although yesterday there was already one.
“No accident has been reported since the road operation began, we have been very careful, thanks to the population that is accepting and abiding by the instructions,” he stressed.
Prevention
He insisted that in the event that a person is detected driving while intoxicated, they will be detained by the agents of Sustainable Mobility, and the corresponding test will be carried out.
He clarified that in case of exceeding the limit of 0.40 degrees of alcohol, the person will not be allowed to drive, so a designated driver will be sought, otherwise the unit will be retained.
He warned that these measures were implemented in order to prevent mishaps and maintain the safety of drivers, as well as the people who travel through these areas.
“If the person is drunk, we look for a way to stop him momentarily so that the effect is lowered, and if he comes alone, then we will take him,” commented the operational commander of the Directorate of Sustainable Mobility.
awareness
He explained that currently they have begun distributing informational flyers on the prevention of cell phone use while driving, since this can also cause a fatal accident.
He added that most accidents are caused by distractions, such as the cell phone, or not paying attention to the wheel, so they ask people to be more careful when driving to avoid road accidents.
