After receiving almost 60,000 tourists from Spain between 2019, 2022 and 2023, Oman met this week with the main players in the sector to improve accessibility, travel packages and knowledge of the country as a tourist destination for the Spanish market.

In an initial phase, Oman aims to attract travelers with high purchasing power, between 35 and 65 years old, who seek cultural and luxury experiences, through strategic partnerships with airlines that offer connecting flights via hubs.
In the medium term, the Ministry plans to establish seasonal or charter flights with airlines to capture new market niches such as families and adventure travelers, between 25 and 45 years old, attracted by sustainable tourism and nature.
In a final phase, when it plans to have a potential establishment of direct flights and complete tourist packages, Oman hopes to attract multigenerational and niche groups such as bird watchers and photographers.
