Threats, comings and goings to judicial venues, phone calls with lawyers, appointments with the doctor to collect the recipes of their economic medication and suffocation. This has been the last years of Nuria since the Inquiokupa of her floor of Vallecas transferred her that she would not pay the rent again, hosting her vulnerability. However, this same situation led to the recognition that the owner was also in a vulnerable position. “For a time it was my medium -sized son who made the purchase at home,” he admits, in tears, the Madrid, who does not see a favorable future for her before the “judicial helpless” in which he has been involved.
Araceli, the current resident of the house located at number 134 of Calle del Arroyo del Olivar, rented the floor when the ex -husband of the affected in 2012. However, after divorce, this man stopped paying the pension to Nuria, so as the mortgage of this property. «I had to pay for everything. I asked the bank to stay with the floor since I could not pay it and they told me no, ”says the 61 -year -old woman, who is also autonomous, since she owns a nursery located in Canillas. His initial idea was to sell the house, because he did not perceive any financial aid from the father of his three children, who were studying at that time.
Even the pandemic, the now Inquiokupa – which was aware of the intention of selling this floor – paid 450 euros of monthly payment without missing a single month. It was in 2020, the year in which the five years of the signing of the contract won, when Araceli told Nuria that, given the fear of going out, he could not give him the monthly payment. This was extended for three months and with the prohibition of evictions, compensation for the owners in this situation was also given. “They gave me a help from mid -May in mid -July for a total amount of 1,085 euros,” he says. Since that time he has not received a cent one more from the administrations. After receiving this subsidy from the Community of Madrid, the situation worsened: «The tenant told me that it was in a very bad situation. Since I know her, she charges a subsidy for a temporary disability when she suffers a lung disease, ”he tells ABC.
Once he told him that he would stop paying the rent, from Social Services a report was made to prove the vulnerability of women. «As we were in Pandemia, the study was not done in person. It was something bungle, ”explains Paloma Calzado, lawyer for the owner of this house, who continued to pay the mortgage of her husband’s house” much later “that Araceli became Inquiokupa. However, this property still supposes Nuria costs, which ensures that you have to give your pocket around 2,000 euros for community expenses and different circumstances that the owners have to take charge.
“I’m going to kill you”
The day that officially ended the contract, Nuria went with her children until number 134 of the aforementioned street of the district of Vallecas to collect the keys. «The couple who lived at that time with her went down. He did not let us go up and when he tried to enter the portal, it was when this man pushed me, ”says the affected, who left the place with threats of” I’m going to kill you, I have to kill you “and” this house is mine, “he recalls .
In recent years, there have been two launch dates, one in 2021 and another in January 2024. Last year they informed him that eviction was suspended since the Inquiokupa suffered an anxiety attack. «To which he also gave an anxiety attack to me. It seems that his is more important than mine, ”he says desperately.
The first eviction order was also suspended by the Court of First Instance number of Madrid. According to the car to which ABC has had access, the judge indicated that Araceli has a 71% disability degree and charged a non -contributory pension of 395 euros. This is an insufficient ability to deal with expenses to stay for herself. This newspaper has tried to contact this woman, but has not received any response.

This same brief also recognizes the vulnerability of the owner, who had to assume the payment of the mortgage of the Okupada house and that of her own home. In addition, at the end of a nursery, the affected one did not receive income during the pandemic since his business was closed.
In spite of this, the eviction was suspended since the situation of the lessee is more precarious than that of Nuria, which was reminded that he had the right to request economic compensation if the administration did not adopt the alternative measures within the period of three months from the issuance of the report. “It may be criticable that the consequences of not being able to satisfy the need of people to decent housing, but that is what has been imposed with current regulations,” says this car. “
«The nursery currently works but now the birth rate is very low. It is a business that has declined from the pandemic and there is a very important decrease in the volume of work. Not only that, Nuria is two or three years after retirement. Now he is not declared vulnerable, but is economically suffocated. All this will be legal, but it is very unfair, ”explains the lawyer of the affected by the Inquiokupation, a practice that has been increasing in recent years.
«It is desperate. The only thing that this house has generated are debts, when what I wanted was to be able to pay my children the education of my children. To which the law does not protect is me, ”he insists.
Since the report presented in 2021, they say, there has been no follow -up than Araceli’s affidavit. “Neither justice nor social services monitor or investigate the situation of this person,” criticizes Paloma Calzado, which in 2024 presented at least four requests.
The last letter was presented on February 6 to the Court in which the action of the social services of the Madrid City Council was required again and re -made reference to the investigation of its family nucleus. «This woman was going to her daughter’s house several times in winter because she said she was very cold at home. She could take care of her, “he says, and insists that” a housing solution should be sought by the administration. “
This is just one more example of the double standard of vulnerability in the squatting. «Government decrees have destroyed many families. Private property is supporting the deficiencies of the State and Social Affairs, ”concludes the lawyer.
