“It is sad that a President of the Republic has the courage to scoff at a national act”, said the PT member about 7 de Setembro
Former PT president and candidate for the Planalto Palace Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said this Friday (9.Sep.2022) that “Nobody cares if he [Jair Bolsonaro] it is broachable”.
The PT gave the statement while criticizing the current president, his main opponent in the October election. Lula spoke to journalists in Rio de Janeiro.
On September 7, when the bicentennial of Brazil’s Independence was celebrated, Bolsonaro mobilized the symbols of the date for his reelection campaign. He spoke in Brasília and Rio de Janeiro after military displays.
In his speech in Brasilia, Bolsonaro led the chorus “unbroken” For yourself. He was joined by supporters.
Lula said that the opponent should make a different speech.
“The president was supposed to have made a speech promising a future for the Brazilian people. What will happen in this country? Nobody cares if he’s breakable or not, that’s his problem.”declared the PT.
“I think it’s sad that a president of the Republic has the courage to bully a national act, a date that is a heritage of our people”said Lula.
