On the evening of Wednesday 9 March the Formula 1 drivers were portrayed with a banner signed by GPDA with the words ‘No War’, accompanying their initiative with a t-shirt with the same writing on a white background, bearing the hashtag #RacingUnited , expressing its opposition to what is happening in Ukraine, where the second week of war has been reached.
This morning Sebastian Vettel he showed up on the circuit with a new helmet, in which he replaced the colors of the German flag with those Ukrainiansimplementing the logo in great prominence on the side ‘No War’. The whole is finally embellished with the text of the famous song ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon, published in 1971, a passage usually read in a pacifist key.
Something similar was brought to the track in 1995 by Gerhard Berger at Estoril, which we have told you about in recent days.
