Genoa – When playing against Juventus the forecast is almost always unfavorable. This also applies to Sampdoria which on Saturday in Marassi will host Allegri’s bianconeri who in the second round scored more points than anyone else and are unbeaten, recovering after the difficulties of the first part of the season.
To give hope to a Sampdoria in search of safety points, however, there are some precedents of recent years. From 2013 to today, Sampdoria have beaten Juventus three times at Ferraris (6 defeats). In the same period of time only against Napoli (5 times) and Roma (4) the bianconeri have lost more away games.
Two victories obtained with Giampaolo on the bench in Marassi against Juve. The first was on November 19, 2017, 3-2 with goals from Zapata, Torreira and Gian Marco Ferrari. The second on May 26, 2019 for 2-0 with goals from Defrel and Caprari. The third, however, is further away and dates back to May 18, 2013, again 3-2 with Delio Rossi as coach and Sampdoria goals by Eder, De Silvestri and Icardi.
