Nintendo added three more retro games to the libraries NES And SNES from Nintendo Switch Online.
The NES bookstore receives Pinball, while the SNES bookstore receives Rival Turf and Congo’s Caper.
Pinball is one of the original NES “Black Box” games and was launched alongside the console in the west.
It’s a standard pinball game, but it has a bonus stage where Mario carries a platform and tries to deflect the ball to save Pauline.
Rival Turf is a beat ’em up similar to Final Fight and Streets of Rage and is the first game in Jaleco’s Rushing Beat trilogy. The second and third games, Brawl Brothers and The Peace Keepers, are already available on Switch Online.
Congo’s Caper, on the other hand, is a Data East platformer considered the spiritual successor of Joe & Mac.
Players control a monkey named Congo who has been transformed into a human by a demon. Congo must defeat the demon and save his girlfriend so that they can both go back to being apes.
The Japanese version of Switch Online will not receive Congo’s Caper, but Umihara Kawase.
Switch Online subscribers who have access to the Japanese eShop can download the Super Famicom app and access the Japanese library, including Umihara Kawase.
The previous update for NES and SNES added Earthworm Jim 2, Dig Dug and Mappy-Land to the service.
