“Not guilty” was the statement of Néstor Isidro Pérez Salas ‘El Nini’alleged Chief of Security of the Sinaloa Cartel (CDS) in Culiacán, during his first hearing in New York, according to information from the EFE news agency.
‘El Nini’ is accused by the government from the United States (USA) of the crimes drug trafficking, murder, kidnapping, firearms and money laundering, all of them allegedly carried out during his time in the criminal organization.
How was the hearing?
Nestor Isidro’s appearance before the North American authorities began around 3:00 p.m., when He entered the courtroom with his hands cuffed.chains on his feet, a green shirt and khaki pants.
On his way to the trial area he stopped in front of his sisters, with whom he exchanged words. One of them blew him a kiss and after another brief conversation, the accused of organized crime ended with tears on his face.
At that moment a police officer chained his hands again to continue the journey.
‘El Nini’ sat next to the public defender, with whom he chatted for a few moments through a translator.
Now in front of the magistrate and after answering some basic questions of a trial, Pérez Salas pleaded not guilty to the following charges:

He killed a DEA informant
One of the strongest points mentioned in the hearing was an alleged kidnapping by ‘El Nini’ and his hitmen of an informant from the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and 10 other people in Mexico, including a US citizen.
8 of the 10 people were allegedly murdered, including the DEA informant and a 13-year-old minor.
Other accusations that also had weight are trafficking and importation of fentanyl, obstruction of justice with the murder of the informant, kidnapping, possession and use of firearms, crimes related to money laundering, among others.
