Trip to Texas Denied?
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner he said in Azerbaijan that he did not find it very appropriate for Aston Martin to announce Adrian Newey’s arrival in such a big way when his actual arrival at the team is still so long away, which cannot be before the spring of 2025 due to the gardening leave.
In the podcast Formula For Success which always sees him as the protagonist Eddie Jordan responded to Christian Horner’s disappointment, a disappointment that could prevent Newey from being present in Texas as previously planned.
“You didn’t hear a word from me until September 6th – Jordan’s words – and that was the date that Red Bull had set to establish when we could or could not say anything. So I have nothing but admiration for Adrian, because he never said a word until the date that Red Bull allowed us to make any comment. Newey had great respect and fairness. It was all coordinated elegantly and I am very proud of my work and that of Adrian. This operation was one of the most beautiful things I have done in my career”.
