Teachers at an elementary school in Brooklyn, New York, are using educational materials that criticize the State of Israel, according to the portal New York Post.
The educators, who work in the third grade of an institution in the city, published incentives for teaching materials on social media. Woke Kindergartena website that calls itself a “global, abolitionist early childhood ecosystem and visionary creative portal.”
One of the lessons that the company developed after the brutal massacre against Israeli territory by Hamas, in October last year, was to reimagine the children's song “The Wheels on the Bus” in a poem in support of the Palestinian resistance entitled “The Wheels on the Tank”.
“The tank wheels go round and round all over the city. The people of the city stand their ground and never back down,” says an excerpt from the famous 1930s children’s song. Another part says: “the bombs in the air fly, whoosh, whoosh, throughout the skies. From every river to every sea the people cry, cry, cry. Liberate Palestine until the wheels fall off the tanks.”
The rewrite includes illustrations of Palestinian children throwing rocks at Israeli tanks. Also incorporated is the war cry of the pro-Palestine movement that calls for the destruction of Israel.
In addition to promoting activism against Israel, the Woke Kindergarten is proud to have invented a new pedagogy that defends other left-wing ideological agendas. One section of the website states that it wants to help children become “little buddies”.
One of the teachers reported by the New York Post publicly thanked the consulting firm for providing him with ideas for his classroom curriculum. “Thank you to @WokeKindergarten for your resources and voice on this issue,” she wrote on social media. “Your work supported us in creating these lesson series.”
