Elections for a new parliament have begun in Kyrgyzstan, about 2.5 thousand polling stations have opened, reports TASS with reference to the Central Election Commission of the country.
Voting on the territory of the republic began at 8.00 (05.00 Moscow time) and will continue until 20.00 (17.00 Moscow time). In addition to voting places in the republic, 59 polling stations abroad have already opened or will open soon, depending on the time zone. So, 21 of them are located in Russia and three sites each in Germany, Turkey and the United States.
The voting process in Kyrgyzstan, where almost 3.7 million people are included in the voter lists, will be monitored by 736 international observers, including from Russia.
Earlier, Kyrgyzstan asked Russian employers to release Kyrgyz workers to vote in the parliamentary elections on November 28. An appeal to Russian organizations and companies was issued by the country’s embassy. The plots are located in major cities throughout Russia. In Moscow, six PECs were located at two addresses.
