What are the rates Of Enel? Qhow much does it cost to recharge aelectric car on public charging stations through the APP Enel X Way? Generally speaking, the cost of electricity to fill up varies significantly depending on the point charging (at your home, business or in public charging stations) with advantageous rates of kWh only for domestic or business users but decidedly salty if you use public charging infrastructures above all the FAST ones in DC. Let’s find out how much electricity costs at Enel
Enel X electric car charging rates
Enel is among the best-known national providers that, through its Enel X Way app (on iOS And Android), allows you to top up with different rates a kWh actually consumedvariables on the type of charging (AC DC) used.
Among the types of charging there are the QuickAC (alternating current charging up to 22 kW), FastDC (DC charging up to 50 kW), HPC (DC charging with maximum power over 150 up to 350 kW). One is also planned occupancy rate if the charging station is not vacated one hour after the end of the charging station. Enel X tariffs, without subscriptions or flat packages, are “Pay per use” for AC and DC columns, direct current (DC) columns up to 150 kW.
New Enel X tariffs from July 2024 and current cost for charging with the Enel X Way App
Starting July 1, 2024, Enel X reduces by 5 cents the price per kWh for fast and ultra fast charging stations. The new tariffs concern both consumption-based and subscription-based top-ups.
Prices for top-ups in AC(up to 22 kW) remain at 0.69 euros/kWh while those for the columns fast in direct current (up to 150 kW) drop from 0.89 to 0.84 euros/kWh and for them HPC columns(over 150 kW) from 0.99 to 0.94 euros/kWh.
RATE | PRICE € | AC (22 kW) | FAST DC (150 kW) | FAST HPC |
---|---|---|---|---|
Basic | 0 | €0.69/kWh | €0.84/kWh | €0.94/kWh |
Premium | €25/year | €0.69/kWh | €0.84/kWh | €0.94/kWh |
Premium 10 | €4/month | €0.59/kWh | €0.74/kWh | €0.84/kWh |
Premium 15 | €9/month | €0.54/kWh | €0.69/kWh | €0.74/kWh |
Occupation | €0.10/min. | €0.20/min. | €0.30/min. |
By subscribing to a “Premium” monthly subscription (there are 3 levels) you can save. The Pay-per-use subscription Premium 15at the cost of 9 euros per month provides a discount of 15 cents on all top-ups and unlimited reservations for zero-cost charging stations. The monthly fee of €9 is already recovered with a “full” battery 77 kWh which at the rate of €0.69 saves you 11 euros.
The conditions for subscriptions Premium And Premium 10 remain unchanged.
Enel X Flat Tariff
To save money, Enel X also offers one flat rate which involves the payment of a fixed monthly fee of 49 euros per month For 80 kWh (0.6125€/kWh) with a threshold of 80 kWh which is decidedly limiting as it runs out after 1 or two complete recharges. On the FAST HPC the saving on 80 kWh is €26.
→ City subscription (80 kWh per month): €49/month
Too high cost of electricity on DC FAST and IPER columns
The high cost of electricity on charging stations, in particular on FAST and IPER DC ones (even 3 times higher than that of a private user) also represents an obstacle for the large-scale diffusion of electric cars.
