New BBVA platform for payment solutions: How does it work?

Starting today, February 15, 2024, BBVA Guarantee marks a milestone in the Turkish financial landscape by receiving approval from the central bank for the launch of its new payment services and electronic wallet division.

This subsidiary, with a pioneering approach, will begin by offering a beta version of its digital payment solutions under the banner of TAMİ.

What is TAMI at BBVA?

The TAMİ platform promises to simplify payment tracking for Turkish businesses and make it easier for their customers to installment paymentsregardless of the bank where you have your account.

Adapted for diverse users, from SMEs to families and studentsTAMİ's fully digital experience allows cash refunds at ATMs or stores, transfers, cards and electronic walletseven accessible through point-of-sale terminals in affiliated businesses.

Murat Çağrı Süzer, executive vice president of Garanti BBVA and president of the board of the new subsidiary, highlights that digitalization is revolutionizing payment systems, generating new expectations among both customers and businesses.

According to Süzer, TAMİ is the result of two years of exhaustive research. “We have developed a technological infrastructure that meets the real needs of our customers. By focusing on agility and convenience, we generate value in the digital payments space.”
