The day had four mountain prizes, two in the third category and the others in the second category, the last five kilometers from the finish line, terrain in which emotions were presented in bulk.

Attack
As expected, the second category mountain prize, which ended five kilometers from the finish line, it was the key site to launch an attack and the Colombian did it.
Nairo pushed his bike forward, put the pedal to the metal and managed to get the difference over his rivals, who got desperate and tried to follow him, but they couldn’t.
When they crowned the mountain prize, Quintana had just 11 seconds on Tim Wellens, who was the one who persecuted him and threatened the triumph of the faction and the leadership.
Nairo did not give up, Wellens pedaled, he had Nario just six seconds away and 5 km from the finish, who had the goal of being the leader.
It was inevitable, Wellens reached the 32-year-old from Boyacá, 3 kilometers of the goal. And the definition of the stage and the leadership of the race was defined between the two.
The competition ends this Sunday with the section between Villefranche-sur-Mer and Blausasc, of 112 km, with a mountain prize in the third category and two in the second category, but far from the finish line.
