The area called Huvilanranta is expected to offer food and drink as well as a free festival program.
From the Helsinki Festival this year, the familiar Huvila tent will expand into a festival park open to the public in Tokoinranta.
The area between Tokuvranta Park and the area between the Huvila Tent and the Circular House will be open during the festive weeks from 12 August to 4 September. An area called Huvilanranta, where food and drink offerings and a free festival program are promised. Discussions, artist meetings and DJ performances are planned for the program.
The restaurant points come to the terrace area to be built near the beach. The area is open from lunch to late evening.
Huvilanranta is being designed by JKMM Arkkitehdit, which was awarded last year, for example, at the Architecture Finland Finland Kirkkonummi Main Library expansion project.
Architect Roy Mänttärin The villa was designed by Tokoinranta for the first time in 1995, and since then it has always been in place during the Festive Weeks in August.
This year, Huvila’s paid concert area will also be developed. Entrances and auditorium structures will be renovated and accessibility will be improved. Additional toilets and covered living and restaurant areas are available in the vicinity of the villa.
In the villa see 24 gigs this year.
Concerts begin with Pulitzer-nominated raised, drag-theater actor and activist Taylor Mac. He brings to Finland his three-hour A 24-Decade History of Popular Music show, which takes the viewer on a musical journey through the history of the United States from the point of view of civil rights. The performance will be seen at the Villa two nights, the first performance is on August 12th.
The entire program of the festive weeks and the Villa will be announced on April 21st. Tickets go on sale the same day.
