Almost three months after the accident, Marc attended a virtual press conference, in which he confirmed the improvements in his double vision and ruled out any surgery. The # 93, therefore, has decided to get back on the bike to check his real conditions on two wheels.
For this first contact, circuits such as Barcelona, Valencia and Jerez have been put on the table. However, the track chosen by Honda and the rider fell on Portimao, in the south of Portugal, right where he returned last year after a long injury to his right arm.
Marquez will ride a sports bike this Sunday in Portimao, the RC213V-S, the closest to Honda’s MotoGP, to test the stability of his vision when subjected to high speeds and great effort.
The Cervera rider shared on his social media a selfie of him with his brother Alex on the road leading to Portimao. Which could confirm a joint training session. The goal of this test is to see if Marc is ready to hit the track in the first MotoGP pre-season test, set for 5 and 6 February in Sepang.
