Lewis Hamilton has never hidden his passion for MotoGP. In December 2019 he defined the test in Valencia riding Valentino Rossi’s bike as “one of the most incredible experiences I have had”, who in turn had the opportunity to ride Lewis’ Mercedes, fresh from winning his sixth title world.
Hamilton constantly follows the events of the top two-wheeled series, but the news of Marc Marquez’s move to the Ducati team has held sway throughout the paddock, unanimously enthusiastic to see the eight-time world champion back in the running for the title world.
Hamilton did not hold back when asked to comment on the news which many compared to his move to Ferrari. “It’s incredible news, I love MotoGP and I’m really excited about the future of this championship too, I think they will grow a lot with the innovations that Liberty Media will bring, as happened to Formula 1. Well, seeing Marquez on that Ducati, it will be fantastic , the Ducati has always been a fantastic bike.”

Then Lewis commented on what he thinks of the new challenge that awaits Marquez, a scenario that he is preparing to experience first hand in just over six months. “I believe that for an athlete it is always nice to face a challenge – he explained – a new environment, new people to work with, new goals”.
”Then there is a healthy tension, because there are many aspects that you will have to discover, question marks that you will have to answer. But at the same time it’s exciting, and it’s nice to think of being welcomed into a new context to start a new chapter. So yes, I think it will be fantastic to see Marc at the start of a new adventure, I can’t wait to see what he will do on that bike”.
