After the Spanish Grand Prix, the European MotoGP season continues with the traditional appointment in France on the circuit of Le Mans, obviously used in the ‘Bugatti’ version. Francesco Bagnaia and Ducati are veterans of the success of Jerez and the Borgo Panigale manufacturer won both in 2020 and in 2021 with Danilo Petrucci and Jack Miller, victories obtained also thanks to the ‘amphibious’ skills of the Terni and Australian that they have showed off their skills in races where rain played a role in determining the outcome of the Grand Prix.
The idol of the house Fabio Quartararo he comes to Le Mans as reigning world champion and leader of the standings chased by Aleix Espargarò’s Aprilia, a combination not to be underestimated on a track where the Spaniard has always performed well in the past. Eyes obviously also focused on Marc Marquez, who in Spain came close to the podium, returning to give a sample of his circus skills on the saddle of the grumpy Honda.
In Moto2 Celestino Vietti has 19 points ahead of Ai Ogura and in 2020 he won at Le Mans in Moto3. The French track is also one of Tony Arbolino’s favorites, author of a great race a year ago when he was a rookie in Moto2. The Italian rider is looking for a place in the sun in MotoGP in 2023 and must recover 30 points in the standings from his compatriot.
In Moto3 Sergio Garcia took command of operations despite the insult at the last corner in Andalusia at the hands of box mate Izan Guevara. In 2021 the Spanish rider won in Moto3 at Le Mans and will go hunting for an encore. Dennis Foggia and Andrea Migno are called to redeem after the last rather disappointing races. The event will be broadcast live on Sky Sport MotoGP, TV8 will guarantee the deferred transmission of the summary of the Qualifications and the races. As always, on FormulaPassion.it you will find the direct written report of all the sessions that will see the premier class on the track. Below are the times of the sessions (also the MotoE on the track), the characteristics of the circuit and the roll of honor of the three classes.
