Jerez de la Frontera is now behind us, like the great victory obtained by Francesco Bagnaia after an exciting duel with Marc Marquez which relaunched him in the World rankings.
Now it’s Le Mans’ turn, a special track for Ducati, because in the last 4 editions it has always brought home success. The string of successes was opened by Danilo Petrucci in 2020, followed by Jack Miller in 2021, by Enea Bastianini in 2022 and last year by Marco Bezzecchi.
In short, the Red team was able to win both with the riders of the official team and with those of the customers, a symptom of how the French track adapts very well to the characteristics of the always competitive Desmosedici GP.
For Ducati this appointment is important to continue hunting for another rider… Ducati. We are talking about Jorge Martin, world championship leader now being hunted by the two official Borgo Panigale riders. In fact, let’s remember that Bagnaia, thanks to the victory in Jerez, rose to second place with 75 points, while Enea Bastianini is continuing his excellent start to the year and is third, just 5 points behind his teammate.

Both arrive at Le Mans with the same objective, that is, to gain more points on the Spaniard of the Pramac Ducati Racing team and go in search of a success.
“After the last race weekend in Jerez and the test, I arrive at Le Mans quite confident”, declared Francesco Bagnaia on the eve of the weekend that hosts the French Grand Prix. “There are all the conditions to be able to be fast immediately. In France we have always been competitive and even last year in the race we had a good pace and were fighting for the victory.”
“Unfortunately, I was unlucky and was forced to retire due to a fall after being hit by another rider. The only big unknown, as always, will be the weather but, in any case, we will work to be ready to face any conditions ”.
Enea Bastianini is also happy to arrive at Le Mans. It is a track where she has already won, showing all her potential in her best year so far in the premier class of the MotoGP, the one contested with the Gresini team.
“I’m happy to return to Le Mans where I couldn’t race last year due to injury. It’s definitely a friendly track given that in 2022 I managed to get a victory.”
“After the Jerez test I returned home happy and satisfied: I’m confident that what we tried will be of help to us both here and in the next races. I can’t wait to get on the track with the aim of returning to fight for the podium.”
