On Sunday 2 June, on the occasion of the Italian Brembo MotoGP Grand Prix, the Ducati Lenovo Team will race in light blue: the color of the Italian national teams in sport.
The Desmosedici GP 24s of the official Ducati team will take to the track from the morning’s Warm Up with a special livery characterized by the light blue color of the national team, with details in blue, white and gold. Furthermore, all the members of the Ducati Lenovo Team will wear the Blue Jersey and the two Italian riders Francesco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini will be no exception, wearing a suit in the same color as the bike.
“The Italian national teams give emotions to millions of Italians and we feel we are doing the same during race weekends, representing our country on circuits all over the world. On the occasion of our home Grand Prix at Mugello we therefore chose to create a bond between the Red passion that distinguishes us on the track and the Blue color that unites us in sport”, said Mauro Grassilli, Sports Director, Marketing and Communication of Ducati Corse.
The appointment with the MotoGP at Mugello kicks off a period long awaited by all sports enthusiasts, who in the space of a few months will find themselves supporting, among others, the Italian national football team at the European Championships in Germany (from 14 June to 14 July) and the Italian Delegation to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (from 26 July to 11 August).
In recent times, it is not the first time that the official Ducati team uses a particular livery: last year, in fact, Pecco Bagnaia competed in the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix with yellow fairings on his Desmosedici GP (Enea Bastianini in that case he was absent due to injury). In that case, however, the intent was to celebrate the tradition of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer.
