The freelance illustrator Serena Scandellari and her 75-year-old mother risk being left homeless in Bologna starting from April 9th due to an executive eviction but Flavio Insinna has offered to lend them a hand by guaranteeing the rent.
The story, told for the first time since Today.ithas been going on for months and despite the attention received on social media and contacts with institutions and local politicians of all sides, it has never found a solution: due to the high cost of rent in Bologna and the impossibility for a freelancer and for a retired from offering all the guarantees required today by private individuals for a rental, Scandellari and her mother are unable to find another home, which not even public housing can offer.
Yesterday, however, Flavio Insinna showed up on the social platform “But if we find a way to guarantee this blessed rent, can it be a solution? If you find a place for you and your mother, it seems to me that it is a question of guarantees that I can provide. Sorry if I intruded. Good day”.

“In the Better World the forces of good act through some human beings who have made their lives an example of generosity,” wrote the illustrator, publishing Insinna's message in a tweet. “Having said that, how do I go to the agents saying “Flavio Insinna guarantees” without seeming like a mythomaniac?”, she then added, jokingly, before seriously returning to the problem. “The fact also remains that three-room apartments at an affordable price will be 1/4 of the total. And imagine the competition there.”
