Juarez City.- The municipal government’s Department of Public Safety reported that a total of 755 tires were removed from Rincón de Extremadura Street, in a section between Ramón Rayón Avenue and Búfalo Street.
The agency detailed that the period of intervention on this road was on June 18, 19, 26, 27 and 28, where an exhaustive cleanup work was done in the area, however, due to citizen reports, it had to return on July 26 since tires had again accumulated in a park located on that street, so the activities concluded on Monday, August 5.
In light of this situation, residents of the area were urged to collaborate by keeping the area where they live in optimal conditions, avoiding throwing garbage or tires, and invited to report to the number 656 737 01 98 anyone caught engaging in these bad practices.
“This is an area where we have been intervening in a scheduled manner, once again we implemented cleaning actions; this street in particular involved a very heavy job for the boys from the crews due to the removal of 24 tons of garbage and 14 tons of washed-up soil,” said Gibran Solís Kanahan, head of the department.
He added that the operation included a tour of the distillery where they removed 10 tons of unused objects, as well as 7 tons of rubble scattered on median strips and parks.
“It is a street bordered by dikes and some green areas, but the practice of throwing tires and garbage is deeply rooted, it is very important that you help us maintain the clean-up actions,” he emphasized.
