The Moors and Christians Festival returns to the streets of Molina de Segura, after two years of pandemic, with an extensive program of activities that will begin on Friday, September 23, with the proclamation by the writer and columnist of LA VERDAD, Jerónimo Tristante, and will end on Sunday, October 2, according to the schedule advanced by the Vice President of the Federation of Moors and Christians, José Antonio Rodríguez, who was accompanied by the Mayor, Eliseo García Cantó, the Councilor for Fiestas, Andrés Martínez, and the Councilor for Culture, Soledad Nortes.
Among the activities, it is worth mentioning the recreation of the embassy, on September 24, in the Tomás Fernández Gil Municipal Auditorium. In addition, this year the festivities will reach schools to explain to schoolchildren the meaning and meaning of this celebration, who will be able to enjoy a storytelling with the writer Paco López Mengual.
Big parade
On Friday, September 30, at 8:30 p.m., there will be a torchlight procession, departing from Calle San Vicente Ferrer. And, later, the inauguration of the camp will take place in Plaza de España, where a brotherhood dinner will also be held.
The great parade will go through Calle Mayor and Avenida de Madrid, starting from the hermitage of San Roque, on Saturday, October 1.
