Aquaplus has released some details on the development of Monochrome Moebius: Toki no Taika, new chapter of the franchise Utawarerumono.
Interviewed by Weekly Famitsu, the producer Naoya Shimokawa has revealed that the choice not to include the name Utawarerumono in the title of the game is due to the fact that the term is linked to the themes seen in the previous chapters. Furthermore, the software house wants to approach the game in a different way, thus making it something entirely new.
The title soundtrack will be made up of 90% unreleased songs, taking a different direction from the previous trilogy, while at the moment Shimokawa-san still does not want to give too much away in revealing what the type of genre of the game will be. Development proceeds smoothly and is currently about 90% but that’s not all, the producer has in fact revealed that they are there other Utwarerum-related projects are under development of which we will discover more details in the future.
