Markus had been hired by Schumacher 18 months before the unfortunate accident. After the mishap, the family did not doubt their loyalty and for eight years they had access to the more intimate aspects and medical procedures applied to the former German pilot.
However, in 2022, the Schumachers had to make staff cuts and Fritsche was fired. This, spiteful, devised a plan of revenge and blackmail together with two accomplices, Yilmaz Tozturkan and his son, a computer expert.
Tozturkan, a nightclub bouncer, and Fritsche have known each other for more than 20 years and both live nearby. They are neighbors of Wuppertalmunicipality where the trial in which they are accused will be held.
The two accomplices took charge of the four USB flash drives and two hard drives that Fritsche took from the Schumacher house when they informed him of the dismissal. The three alleged extortionists contacted the Schumacher family last June, threatening to publish the sensitive material on the ‘Dark Web’ (hidden Internet network) if they were not paid 15 million euros.
“Tozturkan’s son, Lins, who uses his mother’s maiden name, sent four images to Schumacher’s residence on June 11 and allegedly told the family that they had a month to raise the money, payable in two installments,” reports ‘Daily Mail’. The exchange would take place in the office of the Schumacher family lawyer.
The miserable plan was thwarted by the police. A week later, on June 19, Tozturkan and his son were arrested. At the moment, Tozturkan is detainedwhile his son and Fritsche are free on bail awaiting trial.
