The Verdolagas, led by Hernán Darío ‘el Arriero’ Herrera, are motivated after drawing 1-1 in their visit to Junior, but they will have to deal in this game with the loss of veteran Gio Moreno, who has been the team’s most decisive player throughout the semester.

Millonarios, meanwhile, has just beaten Atlético Bucaramanga 1-0 and is the provisional leader of the area, although he will also have to deal with a significant loss: that of the Costa Rican center-back Juan Pablo Vargas who will play the play-off of the Qatar 2022 World Cup against New Zealand.

Upon arrival in Medellín on Monday, the Millonarios squad faced a hostile climate, as a small group of fans of the Purslane team were present at the Rionegro airport, shouting insults at the footballers. No consequences were reported.

The match, a Colombian soccer classic, will be played this Tuesday from 8:05 pm, at the Atanasio Girardot.
