Chiapas.- More than a hundred migrants from Africa and Haiti they confronted elements of the National Guard (GN), when they were guarding access to the immigration regulation office in Ciudad Hidalgo, Chiapas.
The undocumented immigrants made the decision to attack the Mexican security agents as a way of protesting against the delay in processing the humanitarian visa that would allow them to continue their journey until they crossed the border with the United States.
The conflict between foreigners and the Mexican authorities arose on the afternoon of Friday, March 4, in Ciudad Hidalgo, Chiapas; entity where a large number of migrants wait to regularize their situation in the Mexican Republic.

The violent events began after a group of undocumented immigrants became dissatisfied because elements of the National Guard did not let them enter the immigration office of the National Institute of Migration (INM).
Given this, the undocumented proceeded to grab stones and throw them at the troops riot police, who sought to evade the blows with their shields, while they returned to the protesters.
The people on the move, mostly men, shouted “Libertad!”, while accusing the Mexican immigration authorities of racism and they reproached them for the delay in the processes.
“We don’t have a job, or any food, we’ve been here for several months and Immigration doesn’t attend to us, a lot of racism for being black. [eres] Cubans and Venezuelans give them papers, because they have money, a lot of corruption,” accused the undocumented.
The contingent noted that The INM only approves the humanitarian visas of migrants who come from Cuba and Venezuelapointing out that these give them money so that they can give them the papers and they can travel through the national territory.

Just this week, a dozen Nicaraguan migrants Cuts were made on their arms demanding that the National Migration Institute give them the necessary documents to travel to the northern border of Mexico.
