Juarez City.- Two men and a woman who were arrested in recent days by the State Public Security Secretariat after rescuing the migrants they had allegedly kidnapped were sent to preventive detention after being charged with the crimes.
The three people were brought before the High Court of Justice under criminal case 4501/2024 today, so that a control judge of the Bravos Judicial District could evaluate the legality of the arrest, which was ratified after the Public Prosecutor’s Office’s statement on the conditions under which said arrest took place.
Later, it was revealed that Jairo PZ, Daniel PZ and Ashley Martin TM, along with other people not yet identified by the District Attorney’s Office for the Northern Zone, held 12 victims deprived of their liberty since June 10 of this year at house number 3717 on Sol de la Montaña Street in the Praderas del Sol subdivision.
In addition, one of them, Daniel PZ, was accused of raping one of the victims.
At the time of their arrest, on the night of July 18, 2024, they were found to be in possession of a rifle-type firearm with a magazine containing nine live cartridges, all caliber .223, as well as a Samsung brand cell phone.
They were charged with aggravated kidnapping and possession of a firearm for the exclusive use of the Army.
In addition, they were given a precautionary measure of preventive detention for two years, and the date of July 25 as the date for the hearing to determine whether or not they will be prosecuted.
