“Yesterday I began to collect opinions, and since ours has to do with commanding by obeying, the people want us to march on November 27, a Sunday,” said the president during his morning press conference from the National Palace.
López Obrador asserted that the march will be led by himself and will start from the emblematic Angel of Independence to conclude in the capital’s Zócalo, where he will render his government report, which was initially scheduled to take place on Thursday, December 1.

“I’m going to go. (I will give) the report, (for the) four years of transformation, to also see if people are happy with the transformation, if we are doing well, ”she indicated.
He affirmed that he changed the day of his report because many people from other parts of the country want to go to the Zócalo to support him during the presentation of his report.
The announcement of the march comes just a few days after the mobilization that brought together thousands of people, mostly opponents, who took to the streets of Mexico City and other entities in the country in defense of the National Electoral Institute (INE) and against the controversial electoral reform promoted by President López Obrador.

The reform, which López Obrador presented last April and which will be discussed shortly in Congress, is controversial because it would submit to popular vote the advisers of the INE and the magistrates of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judiciary of the Federation (Tepjf).
It would also eliminate 200 deputies and 32 senators, reduce the financing of political parties and redefine the concept of “propaganda” so that the government can pronounce itself during the elections, provisions criticized because they may favor the current party in power.
