The German house presents the Eqs Suv, the raised version of the Eqs electric sedan, as well as the third model based on the specific Eva platform. Lots of luxury and technology enclosed in extra large dimensions. It will arrive at the end of 2022
With the Eqs luxury sedan and Eqe sports sedan, Mercedes has ushered in a new electric era in the luxury segments as well, as part of the Ambition 2029 plan. These two models, both based on the Eva platform dedicated to electric, will soon join the Eqs Suv, the third model to adopt the platform developed exclusively for electric cars. The arrival on the market is expected in 2022.
super size and space
–
The new Eqs Suv has the long wheelbase (321 cm) in common with the Eqs sedan, but is 20 centimeters higher. The dimensions are as follows: 512 cm long, 195 cm wide and 171 cm high. There is plenty of space inside for up to seven people (the third row is optional). The second row of seats has electric longitudinal adjustment as standard. There is room for up to four golf bags in the trunk.
engines and autonomy
–
There will be two versions proposed. The basic one, the Eqs Suv 450+, can count on a single permanent magnet synchronous motor (PSM) located on the rear axle capable of delivering 355 Hp and 568 Nm of torque. Above it is the Eqs 580 4Matic which uses a permanent magnet motor on each axis for a total power of 536 Hp and 858 Nm of torque. On both versions, the power available is slightly higher than that of the corresponding sedan. According to the company, in the 4Matic model, i.e. in the all-wheel drive model, the Torque Shift function ensures an intelligent distribution of torque between the front and rear electric motors. The autonomy should be just under 600 km (Mercedes did not specify the different mileage between the two versions). Taking advantage of the maximum charging power, which is equal to 200 kW, it takes 31 minutes to go from 10 to 80% of the battery capacity. Using AC alternating charging takes 11.25 hours.
how much luxury!

Sharing the same technical project as the Mercedes Eqs sedan, the Eqs Suv also has large touch screens inside the cockpit. The “basic” 450+ version comes standard with a 12.8-inch screen for the multimedia system and a digital dashboard visible on a 12.3-inch panel. The air suspension, the drive mode selector, rear axle steering, panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated seats, and the option to add a third row for a total capacity of seven passengers. The 580 4Matic features the gigantic Mbux Hyperscreen which can count on three screens positioned under a single curved glass panel from 56 inches. Optional entertainment system available for the rear seats, which adds two 11.6 “schemes and an additional panel that can also be used outside the vehicle.
