MC yesterday demanded the “unblocking” of the projects foreseen in the European Integrated Sustainable Urban Development program (Edusi), with which the regional government plans to invest 18 million euros in La Manga. He blames the president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, and the mayor, Noelia Arroyo, for “not executing the projects promised to the residents of the area,” according to mayor Ricardo Segado.
He gave as an example the 600,000 euros to build a sustainable sports park, of which “the paltry sum of 1,500 has been spent.” “It is an unprecedented disgrace,” he added. He also cited the million euros to expand the IES Las Salinas del Mar Menor.
With these funds, the Community has already built the Galúa viewpoint, several car parks, the installation of Wi-Fi on beaches and has projected the Marchamalo and Monte Blanco viewpoints.
