Mazón goes by surprise to the town hall to see the ‘cremà’ after weeks absent

The president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón, has attended the City Council of Valencia tonight to witness the ‘Cremà’ with which he ends the failures of 2025. It is the first visit that the popular leader makes to the Consistorial balcony during the holidays, in which he has maintained a low profile, nothing habitual for an autonomous president. Nor did he attend the Crida, the act that begins the party, last February.

Mazón has not come along with the rest of the authorities, who have photographed themselves in the town hall square with the major falleras of Valencia and its court of honor.

Upon arrival at the Consistorial building, the Chief of the Consell has been received by the mayor of the city, María José Catalá. This morning, in the last ‘mascletà’ of this year’s failures, the first mayor has been asked about the absence of Mazón on the balcony of the City Council during the parties. “He is always invited,” said Catalá. Vice President Susana Camarero has also been questioned for this issue.

The presence of Mazón, not announced on its official agenda, has caused the criticisms of the opposition parties. The spokeswoman of the Municipal Group of Compromís in the City Council, Papi Robles, has shaved, in a message in networks, that Mazón “has been in search and captures all the failures and comes 40 minutes before the Cremà to take away the prominence from the Fallera Mayor.” “He is not ashamed,” he lamented, while the PSPV spokesman Borja Sanjuán has criticized that Carlos Mazón “has not dared to appear until he could not do it hidden, at night and after a police perimeter.”

“His presence in the ‘cremà’ of Valencia is one more mockery for all the victims,” he reproached the socialist, who has shown a handkerchief with the slogan “Mazón resignation.”
