A complicated 2021 season, combined with a 2022 calendar with a 23-race schedule, presented Haas with the challenge of keeping the best staff on the team. Nikita’s father Dmitry Mazepin is determined to do everything possible to help the team and has presented an incentive plan to encourage team members to stay with Haas and be fully motivated.
While sponsor Uralkali will not change the terms of the agreement with the team, Mazepin believes the new plan may prove to be a good solution.
Speaking on Match TV, Mazepin Senior said: “The existing contract is still in effect, but for next year we are proposing an additional voluntary agreement to incentivize staff members to stay on the team, be more involved and understand the challenges. represented by a calendar with 23 races “
“The human factor is very important and that is why we want to increase the motivation of the staff. We, as sponsors, want to be part of the team ”.

Uralkali has a long-term contract with Haas and this was possible thanks to the arrival of Nikita Mazpein in the team.
Although the results this season are highly negative, also thanks to Haas’ desire not to develop its car to fully focus on the 2022 car, Dmitry Mazepin looked at the positive aspects.
“We are grateful to the team for their hard work and by continuing to do so, with these joint efforts, we can achieve better results next year and seize great opportunities.”
If the sponsor Uralkali is closely linked to Nikita Mazepin’s career, the driver’s father stressed that the company’s ambitions in Formula 1 are not linked to his son.
Dmitry Mazepin has already tried to buy Force India in 2018 in the past and has certainly not given up on this idea.
“We have great ambitions in motorsport and in the past we have made an attempt to buy a Formula 1 team. This is still a possibility for us and it is not linked to Nikita but is determined by our long term plans. We want to expand our presence in F1 ”.
“We have the Hitech GP team competing in Formula 4, Formula 3 and Formula 2. Completing this path would be to own a Formula 1 team.”
When asked if these plans revolve around Haas he replied: “At the moment we are not in talks with any team because everyone is waiting to understand what the values will be on the field next year”.
“If suddenly a small team proves to be competitive in 2022, then its value and attractiveness will be greater.”
