In Russia, over the past day, 40,993 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in 85 regions. 8.8% of them had no clinical manifestations of the disease, the operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus reported on October 31.
The largest number of new cases were detected in Moscow – 7603, St. Petersburg – 3597 and the Moscow region – 2737. During the day, 1158 patients died from coronavirus complications, 27 115 fully recovered.

According to the specialist, Russians will return to normal life with vaccination of 80% of the adult population.
Earlier on Sunday, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced an increase in vaccinations in the capital by 4-5 times since the end of August.
“Elderly Muscovites also began to vaccinate actively, which is also very correct and can not but rejoice,” he is quoted as saying “Gazeta.RU“.
On October 28, Denis Protsenko, the chief physician of the hospital No. 40 in Kommunarka, pointed out that vaccination is the preparation of the immune system to meet the virus. According to him, the overwhelming number of patients who are currently in the hospital in Kommunarka are unvaccinated citizens.
A large-scale vaccination has been taking place in Russia since January. Citizens are vaccinated free of charge and voluntarily.
