Max Verstappen has added a logical new sponsor to his arsenal.
Max Verstappen will of course earn a lot of money in his Formula 1 career. Our hero is already in the Quote 500. Max is still young and salaries and valuations in the sport only seem to explode further. It is therefore difficult to foresee a scenario in which MV1 does not become the first sports billionaire in the Netherlands.
For Max it all adds up. He earns a royal salary at Red Bull Racing, but his fame also offers him other opportunities. This way he can put his salary back into investments, sell shirts and caps, et cetera. There is also room for personal sponsors. Some F1 teams are not so keen on that. But Red Bull apparently gives Max Verstappen the freedom to peddle brands like Jumbo.
Now the sponsorship by Jumbo, which has supported Max Verstappen from his early days in the sport, is under pressure. Frits van Eerd reportedly acted a little wrong with money and sponsorship and the supermarket chain did not like that. For the time being, Jumbo will continue to adorn Max’s helmet, but who knows how long…
Fortunately, Verstappen has already roped in the next party. And it actually makes sense. The two-time champion is teamed up with EA Sports. The company’s logo is already shining on its new helmet. As we know, Verstappen is an avid gamer and also a fan of FIFA, one of the big titles from EA Sports. Max seems to be really pleased with this collaboration:
Of course it initially has to do with the F1 game. I want more to do with that. But apart from that, time will tell what else is possible. It’s a very cool brand, they’re very open-minded. They have so many games that the possibilities are endless.
Max Verstappen will do the shopping for EA Sports from now on
EA Sports itself is also happy with the collaboration:
He is a great athlete with a deep-rooted love for games. He is quickly making his name in F1 history and we are excited to be working with him to bring more fans together through our EA SPORTS experiences.
EA Sports, is well into the game
Whose deed.
