WAFA: Israel bombed school refugee shelter in Gaza
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) bombed a shelter for refugees located in the Osama bin Zayed School, established by UNRWA (UNRWA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) in the Al-Saftawi area in northern Gaza. The strike killed dozens of people, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
It is alleged that the bombing of a civilian target was carried out deliberately. The agency called the incident a “massacre.”
The blow fell on women and children, who, as noted at the UN, they sleep in classrooms while the men sleep in the open air on the street. In addition, shelters are currently four times overcrowded: schools are usually designed for a thousand students, but now house an average of four thousand refugees.
Earlier, the Israeli army admitted that it had attacked the Jebaliya refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip. The IDF called the consequences of the operation on civilians a “tragedy of war.”

IDF admits to hitting ambulance
On November 3, Israeli aircraft attacked an ambulance carrying fighters from the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas. Several militants became victims of the attack. The IDF stressed that the area is a war zone. “Civilians in the area were repeatedly called upon to evacuate to the south for their own safety,” the Israeli military recalled.
In turn, the head of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, condemned the attack on ambulances in the Gaza Strip. He stressed that patients, health workers, facilities and ambulances must be protected at all times and called for an immediate ceasefire.

In addition, according to the Politico newspaper, the US administration demanded that the Israeli authorities provide an explanation for the reasons for the attack on the Jebaliya refugee camp in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
Israel refused to consider the suffering of civilians as a reason for a ceasefire
Israeli President Isaac Herzog said the country will continue to fight the Palestinian Hamas movement, despite the suffering of civilians in the Gaza Strip. According to him, the fighting will not stop until Hamas is destroyed, since only this can end the suffering of Israelis and Palestinians.
Anyone who thinks that cynically exploiting the suffering of civilians will tie our hands and buy Hamas time is mistaken
He also noted that the command center of the Palestinian Hamas movement is located under the central hospital of the Gaza Strip. He stressed that such tactics of the Palestinian movement to hide command posts under civilian objects leads to casualties among civilians in Gaza.
Prior to this, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant refused to respond to the US demand for a temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
There will be no ceasefire until the hostages are returned
On the morning of October 7, the Hamas movement attacked Israel, after which the country’s authorities declared that the Jewish state was officially at war.
