The one who was president of General Electric Spain and Portugal and EzentisMario Armero, has died in Madrid at 68 years old after suffering a brief illnessas business sources have confirmed to Europa Press.
Armero, who was appointed president for the Iberian zone of Tikehau Capital and partner of N2Growth and of Ergon Capitalpreviously held the presidency of General Electric in Spain and Portugal, position he held until 2008and later held the presidency of the technology company Ezentis until September 2011.
He was later named executive vice president of the Spanish Association of Car and Truck Manufacturers (Anfac), a position he held for seven years, from January 2012 to 2019, a position that he combined with that of CEO of Corporación Llorente.
He was also an advisor in Spain from Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP)independent director of Bankinter Consumer Finance and patron of the Spanish Confederation of Directors and Executives (CEDE).
In addition, Armero, a Law graduate from the Complutense University of Madrid, was a patron of the non-profit association Junior Achievementas well as designated by the Spanish Association of Directors (AED), best Director in 2005.
For its part, Anfac has joined in the pain over the death of its former vice president and has expressed its “sincere condolences” to the family.
