Former São Paulo governor has 25% of voting intentions; followed by Marcos Pontes (12%) and Janaina Paschoal (6%)
Isolated, the former governor of São Paulo Márcio França (PSB) leads the race for the Senate in the state with 25% of the voting intentions, according to a poll Ipec (formerly Ibope) released this Wednesday (31.Aug.2022). O Astronaut Marcos Pontes (PL) and the deputy Janaina Paschoal (PRTB) appear next, with 12% and 6%, respectively.
Compared to the latest Ipec poll, released on August 15, France rose 5 percentage points.

The survey interviewed 1,504 people on August 27-29, 2022 in 65 municipalities in São Paulo. The margin of error is plus or minus 3 percentage points at a 95% confidence interval. The survey was contracted by Grupo Globo and cost R$ 117,059.64. is registered in TSE (Superior Electoral Court) under number SP-00761/2022.
STATE GOVERNMENT
According to data released by Ipec on Tuesday (Aug 30), part of the same survey, the former mayor Fernando Haddad (PT) is in the lead in the dispute for the government of São Paulo, with 32% of the voting intentions.
Former Minister of Infrastructure in the President’s Government Jair Bolsonaro (PL), Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), appears in 2nd place, with 17%. It is followed by the governor of the state, Rodrigo Garcia (PSDB), which received 10% of the voting intentions. Here are the numbers of the other candidates:

- Antonio Jorge (DC): 1%;
- Elvis Cezar (PDT): 1%;
- Altino Júnior (PSTU): 1%;

2nd TURN
If there is a direct dispute with Tarcísio de Freitas, the former mayor of São Paulo would win with 47% of the votes, against 31% for the former minister. Blanks and nulls are 12%. Those who did not know how to answer add up to 10%.
In the scenario between Haddad and Garcia, the PT would take with 45%, against 29% of the rival. Blanks and nulls are 16%; 10% do not know.
If the clash is between Garcia and Tarcísio, the toucan has 28% of voting intentions. Bolsonaro’s former minister, 31%. Blanks and nulls are 22%; 19% do not know.
