The former president said in an interview this Tuesday that he does not do politics “stopped in time and space”
the former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (EN) said he is articulating with politicians who voted for impeachment of the former president Dilma Rousseff (EN). In an interview with Bandeirantes Radio from Porto Alegre (RS) this Tuesday (May 31, 2022), Lula said that he cannot do politics “frozen in time”.
“Look, obviously I don’t do politics stopped in time and space. I do politics by living the moment I am living. I am now talking to a lot of people who participated in Dilma’s coup, because if I don’t talk, there’s no politics”said.
The PT asked for respect for Dilma and attributed the problems of his government to the National Congress, especially the former president of the Chamber of Deputies. Eduardo Cunha (PTB).
“We had a mayor who worked with the intention of harming the government. And then, when the PMDB invented the bridge to the future, we are seeing what future we are in. It was all to prevent Dilma from governing, to prevent the government from succeeding”added the former president.
Asked about his current running mate’s support Geraldo Alckmin (PSB) to the impeachment, Lula said that the former governor of São Paulo was always against the process suffered by Dilma.
“Geraldo Alckmin was not only against, but also asked for an opinion from a lawyer, who gave an opinion against impeachment. Alckmin is a good man and a companion who will help me in an extraordinary way to fix this country”said the PT.
