Luis Díaz, balance of a spectacular first month in Liverpool

Luis Díaz lives an enviable present. His first month in Liverpool, which ends this week, has been satisfactory, with a title, the League Cup; with a goal and with extraordinary performances that have been highlighted by the English press.

Díaz arrived in Liverpool on February 4, as an attacker requested by coach Klopp himself, from Porto.

His adaptation was swift and surprising. Two days later, after a couple of training sessions, Díaz was already in the Anfiled stadium as an alternative, and played, and in that premiere he made an assist that drove Klopp crazy.

Diaz takes confidence

But that would be just the beginning. Díaz was gaining confidence very quickly. On February 10, he made his first appearance in a Premier League game when he started a 2-0 win over Leicester.

On February 16, Lucho made his first appearance for Liverpool in the Champions League, playing 31 minutes against Inter Milan.

Diaz’s first goal came on February 19 in a 3-1 win over Norwich in the Premier League. The first, but he promises many more.

He has been in England for less than a month and the Colombian is a sensation. Last Sunday he started and played 96 minutes in the victory on penalties against Chelsea, in the League Cup final.
