Frenesy Film Company srl, the 2023 budget closed with a profit collapsed to only 77 thousand euros from over 3 million in the previous financial year
Luca Guadagnino must hope that the new film he directed and co-produced “Queer” with Daniel Craig who is taking off his 007 clothes to wear that of a toxic and homosexual writer and who will be presented today at the Venice Film Festival may have at least part of the success of his “Bones and all”, horror-romantic released on screens in 2022. And that’s because a few weeks ago the well-known Sicilian director led the shareholders’ meeting of his company as sole director Frenesy Film Company srl (Ffc) which approved the 2023 budget closed with a profit that fell to just 77 thousand euros from over 3 million in the previous financial year and above all characterised by a collapse in revenues year on year to 2 million from 41 million in 2022marked precisely by the proceeds of the film starring Taylor Russell and Timothée Chalamet.
Moreover, in the management report the same Earn money explains that “the year 2023 has seen a significant drop in revenues compared to the previous year whose turnover was strongly influenced by the film Bones and all which generated revenues of 38 million”. Furthermore, “our company is currently engaged in the production of the film Nineteen which has not yet contributed to the annual revenues”. Ffc, which among other things owns the historic Villa Astigliano in Valenza, with a net worth of 8.7 million, he has debts of 12.6 million and last year the director paid out a member-financing of 310 thousand euros. The 2023 numbers also went badly for StudioLucaGuadagnino srlwith which the director designs and creates furniture. The turnover decreased to 370 thousand euros from 540 thousand euros in 2022 and the loss increased from 63 thousand euros to 263 thousand euros.
