Mexico.- The journalist Carlos Loret de Mola assured that the airlines do not want to fly in the new Santa Lucía airport, but Aeroméxico has just added two routes for when the Felipe Ángeles International Airport begins operations in April 2022.
On episode 41 of the show Brozo and Loret, broadcast on the Latinus YouTube channel, Loret de Mola attacked the Felipe Angeles Airportone of the emblematic works of the AMLO government, which he criticized because it will have only eight flights at its inauguration, although the Army says that there needs to be 120 flights for it to be profitable.
He stressed that the airport located in Santa Lucía does not even have the international security authorizations to operate, in addition to the fact that the airlines “do not want to fly there.”

“It is an airport that they are going to inaugurate with eight flights, I think the Tuxtla Gutiérrez airport has more flights, eight flights that the Santa Lucía airport is going to have. Neither international security clearances nor airlines want to fly there, eight flights“, stressed Loret de Mola.
In this sense, the Latinus driver considered that the Army, the “lifeguard” of the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, will carry out a “mega montage” to celebrate the inauguration of the AIFA as an achievement of the 4T.
“What is your lifeline? The Army, you will see the size of the propaganda, the mega montage that is going to be mounted with the Santa Lucía affair“, the journalist told the clown Brozo.
Saint Lucia adds flights
However, this same February 9 it was announced that Aeroméxico will fly with two routes at Felipe Ángeles Airportbound for the cities of Mérida, Yucatán, and Villahermosa, Tabasco.
The Mexican airline made this decision after conducting an analysis of the network, location and needs of its customers, as well as taking advantage of the terminal’s airport infrastructure.
In this way, Aeroméxico will directly connect the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico with 43 national destinations under the highest standards of safety, health and hygiene.
Previously, the airline had announced that it would not have flights at the AIFA, but would instead focus on strengthening its operations at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM).

Aeroméxico thus becomes the third airline that will have operations at the Santa Lucía airport, after Volaris and Viva Aerobus confirmed the same since the beginning of March 2021.
