Disseminate videos of fights in the streets recorded by neighbors
Lorca’s PP demanded on Monday from the Government Delegation an “immediate reinforcement” of National Police and Civil Guard agents to “control the insecurity suffered by Lorca,” said Councilor Belén Pérez. To illustrate it, she released videos that citizens of Lorca recorded with their mobile phones and in which fights can be seen in the street at night and in broad daylight.
In one of the films, several men are shown attacking another on Fuerzas Armadas avenue, hitting his head against a garbage container. Pérez said that neighbors continuously transfer to his party episodes of aggression and fights in the streets, drinking bottles and robberies in homes and agricultural facilities in the urban area and in districts.
He added that “Lorca chains his umpteenth weekend of continued robberies” with the dismantling of two irrigation system installations in the district of La Torrecilla, whose pumping equipment has been completely disabled. He criticized that this is “the direct consequence of the order imposed by the current local government to withdraw local police officers from our districts”, which he described as a “serious mistake”.
