In recent times, Mexico has witnessed a chilling uptick in transfeminicides, a phenomenon that has claimed the lives of numerous trans women, highlighting a significant increase since November 2023. In this edition of Enlace North America we address the causes behind this increase of hate crimes against the LGBTIQ+ community in general, and towards trans women in particular, exploring everything from impunity to the hate speeches that fuel this violence.
