After 17 years with Leire Martínez as vocalist, La Oreja de Van Gogh surprised the world this Monday with the news of the Basque singer’s departure from the group. Since then, speculation about who will lead the band – with a possible return of Amaia Montero included – has not ceased. Now, the artist from Rentería has reappeared and has spoken out about what happened.
She did it this Wednesday on the program ‘Biba Zuek’, on ETB1, where the singer usually appears as a collaborator, in response to the presenters’ questions. As soon as the broadcast started, Maddalen Arzallus and Xabier Sukia wanted to thank him for coming: “We know these are not easy days”.
She, without elaborating, did not want to leave the presenters without a response after the announcement that revolutionized the group’s followers: “Now It’s time to be calmthink about things and situate myself. “Everyone has their rhythms.”
«If I said that I am good, or I am bad, would be misunderstoodbut I don’t want to stay at home,” he stressed, while emphasizing that he does not want to talk much about it now and that “The time will come.”
