“I came to speed skating on ice in 2017, when I was left out of the Colombian roller team. Being out was very difficult for me. I thought that since I came from the routine of rollers, I could try ice for six months. I had never thought about it, but I managed to qualify for the Games in South Korea four years ago.”explains the skater to AFP.
“In 2021, it was the Wheel World Championship in Colombia, which was the dream I had. But plan B was ice. I was left out of the wheel selection again and plan B became plan A, With it I have managed to reach my second Olympic Games representing Colombia,” he adds.
was left without end
Laura Gómez was in three World Championships on wheels before the Pyeongchang-2018 Games, but then she returned to wheels.
The skater entered the track on Saturday at dawn in Colombia at the Beijing 2022 fair and in the semifinal one achieved box 11, being left out of the final instance.
