Es characterizes the activist and all activists as fundamentally standing on the right side of the ideological spectrum. This is already clear from the benevolent, widely used term activist, which is also used when it comes to obstruction, coercion or causing expensive police operations. Activists, especially climate activists, like to abseil from bridges.

This was the case again recently, although the Frankfurt regulatory office tried to ban abseiling on a bridge over the A 648. Not for reasons that might come to mind right away, but because: the bridge railing is not designed for such use and could possibly break. An administrative court allowed the action anyway, so that a large number of police marched up, the highway was closed and a group of activists abseiled down to brand highways as “crimes”. Active crime fighting by abseiling also took place elsewhere these days – A 7 near Fulda. “Tear down highways” was demanded there. After the lanes were closed for two hours, the police reportedly reported that the whole thing went off “without any problems”.

But then the story of the Czech millionaire, who jetted undisturbed in his 1500 hp Bugatti at 417 km/h over the A 2 between Berlin and Hanover and thus became a YouTube attraction gaped at by millions. Now the whole world is wondering if he did something forbidden, although in principle it is allowed because there is no speed limit. And how many full-throttle idiots, sorry, pilots will come before the German autobahns are finally demolished. And how it can be that there are apparently still bridge railings in this country that are not structurally suitable for abseiling.
