The goalkeeper was scouted by Víctor Orta last season
The arrival of Orjan Nyland and his assault on the starting position last season made it clear to Marko Dmitrovic that he had to change his scene if he wanted to enjoy more minutes. Orta chose this absolute international with Belgium, but the competition was high and the goalkeeper’s wishes were elsewhere. This has been confirmed by the former Sevilla goalkeeper coach Jose Luis Silva to Mixed Zone. According to the coach, Casteels rejected Sevilla’s offer to go to the Saudi league. Specifically, the goalkeeper signed for Al-Qadsiah FC, the same team where the former Sevilla player is.
Silva is the bastion of signings as successful as that of goalkeeper Bono in the summer of 2019. The Moroccan goalkeeper himself claimed him as a personal guest at the Ballon d’Or gala for his work with him during his time as a Sevilla player. Silva’s reports and his knowledge of the area were always decisive and highly valued by the Nervion sports management.
