The number of Weekly Famitsu arriving in Japanese bookstores this week features reviews of three Japanese titles due out this month. Two of them are already available on the market, while the third is about to arrive in just two days. Let’s talk about BABYLON’S FALLthe disappointing live service of SQUARE ENIX And PlatinumGames, Gran Turismo 7 and the highly anticipated Kirby and the lost land.
The first, unexpectedly, got a score of 30 out of 40with two out of four editors who gave it a score of 8 out of 10, the remaining two instead rated it 7. A much higher rating than the average in the rest of the world, where the new product from the creators of Bayonetta was judged strongly negatively.
On the other hand, the simulation racing game of Poliphony Digital has touched the perfect score: two 9s and two 10s, that is 38 out of 40. A critically acclaimed PlayStation exclusive, but (rightly?) penalized by player review bombing due to the “always online” policy and microtransactions.
In the end, Kirby and the lost land positively surprises. As already seen in the EDGE review leaked on the net yesterday, the new title of HAL Laboratory for Nintendo Switch all in all it is worthy of attention. Famitsu has reviewed it very positively with a 36 of 40 (8/9/9/10).
Which of these titles do you like the most, and how long are you waiting for the release of the new Kirby game? Let us know in the comments.
